Icon Painting

Icon painting follows rules the painter does not set: the image is received rather than invented.

In Greece and Germany, Georgios Staikos has worked in this discipline for over twenty years — wall paintings covering entire church interiors, and panel icons in pigment and gold leaf. He paints icons on commission and teaches icon painting in Berlin.
